Dr. Joseph Petrone, D.C. has nearly 37 years of experience in the field of chiropractic care. After graduating from Life University, School of Chiropractic in 1983, he opened Sea Girt Spine and Rehabilitation with a focus on helping patients with his specific brand of hands-on, personalized rehabilitation.
His lifelong dedication to patient care ensures that Sea Girt Spine and Rehabilitation uses only the latest and best practices and technologies. He specializes in diagnosing each patient’s condition and devising effective treatment programs to manage pain, heal injury, and get patients back to normal movement and activity.
Dr. Petrone is married to Janney, a schoolteacher, and is the proud father of Patrick, Caroline, and Kathryn. He grew up on the Jersey Shore and loves to swim & cycle.
Alan has been working in private practice settings in New York and New Jersey for 33 years. Having received a B.A. from Brooklyn College in 1975, Alan later received a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1985 from SUNY at Downstate Brooklyn.
He specializes in the rehabilitation of joint injury and pain in patients of all ages; mechanical spinal pain; post-operative rehabilitation following total knee and hip replacement surgeries; shoulder and knee injuries; and sports injuries of all kinds.
He spends his free time reading, gardening, collecting books and vinyl records, and following the NY Giants, Knicks, and Mets. Alan also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Collins received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware before obtaining a Doctorate of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College. She specializes in the gentle treatment and adjustment of pediatric and senior patients. Dr. Collins is licensed in the states of New Jersey and Florida and is the treating chiropractor for multiple assisted living facilities in addition to her contribution at Sea Girt Spine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Collins provides care that is based on her caring, warm, and gentle personality. Committed to all aspects of healthy living, she benefits from running, completing half marathons, and staying in shape. She also enjoys spending time with her family.
Edward Lee, L.Ac

Born and raised in Korea, Mr. Lee was steeped in Oriental healing culture and witnessed his father practicing Oriental medicine in their clinic at home. In his mid-twenties he was blessed to meet two exceptional spiritual masters, who taught him chi and chi meditation, martial arts, Taoism, and Buddhist philosophy. Their teachings made him appreciate the value of the medicine his father offered, and inspired and encouraged his interest in becoming a healer.
In 1995, he received his Master’s Degree in Samra University of Oriental Medicine in L.A. and got the CA Acupuncturist license and the certificate of NCCAOM. He then went on to Korea to study Byungin Herbology, Korean Saam Acupuncture, Dongshi Acupuncture, and Korean Hand Acupuncture.
He has been a licensed O.M.D. for over 20 years and successfully helped thousands of patients to heal through acupuncture, oriental herbal medicine, and other holistic therapies. He has acquired many skills and developed the expertise in treating a wide variety of painful conditions, digestive disorders, immune system weakness, and female reproductive concerns and mental disease like depression, insomnia , and anxiety. One of the aspects of his clinical practice is that he most enjoys educating his patients on how to improve their health and prevent illness. He believes that a primary responsibility of a healer is to be a teacher to patients. Mr. Lee understands that each patient is unique and he will tailor each patient’s treatment to their specific condition. He specializes in gentle acupuncture. Every patient will be treated with the utmost respect and focus. His goal is to provide thoughtful and compassionate care while empowering his patients to live healthier lives.
Dr. Mark Zientek has joined the Sea Girt Spine and Rehab team and brings additional services to the group. He specializes in the management of biomechanical spine pain. Dr. Zientek is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners as well as by the National Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He is licensed by the Board of Medical Examiners in the State of New Jersey and Virginia. Dr. Zientek has completed extensive post-graduate studies, his certifications include; Diplomat Status, American Academy of Medical Legal Professionals. He is an Independent Medical Examiner and certified as an AMA Permanent Disability Examiner, Utilization and Management Review Physician. He has also been used as an expert witness in personal injury cases. Dr. Zientek is certified to perform MUA (Manipulation Under Anesthesia) procedures. Dr. Zientek is also certified in multiple areas of MRI protocols and interpretation. Spinal Biomechanical Engineering, Diagnostic Imaging, Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology, Chiropractic Orthopedics and Scoliosis Determination Procedures are among his other certifications. Most recently, Dr. Zientek became a US Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Certified Medical Examiner and is qualified to perform DOT CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Examination and Certifications.

With a degree in Engineering Science from Colorado University (1999), our resident massage therapist completed her massage therapist accreditation in 2001 at the Cortiva Academy (formerly the Somerset School of Massage Therapy) in Wall Township, NJ. She is a registered member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and in 2002 received National Massage Therapy Certification. Amber is also a registered member of the Bodywork and Massage Therapy Association and is certified in CPR.
This accomplished massage therapist specializes in therapeutic neuromuscular massage reflecting trigger point pain management, muscle repositioning, and deep myofascial (muscle) tissue release. She designs massage therapy programs customized for each patient’s pain management needs. She also creates individualized treatment plans for runners, swimmers, tennis players, bikers, and other athletes.
Amber spends her free time teaching meditation, reading, practicing yoga, and vacationing in the Caribbean.
